Carpet Care Tips
When it comes to caring for your carpet, there’s nothing more important than vacuuming. Yes, regular carpet cleaning is important to extending the longevity of your carpet but regular vacuuming makes the biggest impact on your carpets day-to-day appearance. Kermans Carpet Care Guide includes important information about carpet cleaning, a link to the best way to clean common spills and stains, and nine tips on vacuuming properly.

Hardwood Care Tips
It’s true that you don’t have to worry as much about stains or wear patterns on hardwood compared to carpet. That doesn’t mean it’s a maintenance-free floor covering however. Protecting your hardwood from scratches and outside dirt is a big step in keeping your hardwood looking like new. This holiday season, consider buying a few small decorative area rugs and placing them just inside the door to encourage your guests to remove their shoes before walking into the house. (We’ve even been known to leave a pair or two of our own shoes here to help get the shoe removing started!) Kermans Hardwood Care Guide includes more tips and guidance on what cleaning products are best for your hardwood floor.

Tile Care Tips
Tile maintenance is about as easy as it gets: wipe up spills as soon as they happen; dust or sweep often and damp mop your floor weekly. Things start getting tricky when you talk about cleaning the grout. Kermans recommends sealing your grout when your tile is installed, but even if you didn’t – Kermans Tile Care Guide has some good grout cleaning tips so your floor will sparkle for your guests this season.
Area Rug Care Tips
Many homes use area rugs on top of their hardwood or tile (or carpet) to bring an added dimension of design or warm up a room. Keeping these area rugs clean is certainly very similar to keeping your carpet clean. Regular vacuuming – being careful around the edges, especially those with fringe – is key to area rug care. When you need a little extra care, Kermans Rug Cleaning experts are available.
