Popular Indianapolis carpet trends
Shades of grey
Grey is a hot color in the design world and carpet is no exception. From pale to dark, carpet in shades of grey is very popular. It acts as a neutral but still adds a bit of design flair. Grey looks good with any style of carpet and can be a great way to update the design of a room.
Soft plush
A velvet or plush carpet instantly gives a room an elegant look. These smooth, solid-colored carpets are beautiful and when used in the right environment can be a long-lasting, lush addition to your home. A soft plush carpet is perfect for master bedrooms, dining rooms, or any other formal living area. However, their soft texture prevents them from holding up well against daily traffic, wear and tear. They do show footprints, vacuum marks and traffic patterns easily. For these reasons, plush carpets should not be used in hallways or family rooms.
Modern textures & patterns
“Here’s a trend that works in any household,” notes Kermans designer Nichole Hansen. “Patterns make a big design impact and look just as lovely in a formal living room as they do in a hallway.” You can find textures and patterns in any style carpet – from durable textured yarns to loop yarns. Patterns and texture are a great way to update the design of any room.
